Liquid and vapor-phase nitrogen have nearly the same temperature, which is why temperature is not a very accurate measurement of the volume of liquid nitrogen inside a cryotank. Unlike temperature, we monitor the evaporation of liquid nitrogen, allowing us to almost immediately detect a failure event & giving you up to 84 hours sooner notice than a temperature-based monitoring system. 

Yes, our technology is secure. As an AWS-based operation, we leverage the robust security features inherent in cloud architecture and utilize AWS managed services to enhance our security posture. We maintain SOC II Type II compliance to ensure our security practices meet industry standards. Additionally, we conduct annual penetration testing and regularly scan our code for vulnerabilities. This comprehensive approach ensures that our infrastructure and applications remain protected against emerging threats.

It does not! We know how easily wifi can go down, and don’t want our customers or your samples to be compromised by that. Our system utilizes cellular LTE and triangulates between all major carriers to provide service. If there are concerns about the cellular service at your lab, we’ll coordinate implementation of a cell booster. 

Nope! We know how important it is to be able to move tanks around in the lab, so we built our system to be remote. The tank module works on a battery. The battery life of each system is easily viewed at the top of each ‘Tank Dashboard’ page. Additionally, our system will send out a low battery email notification to alert you when the battery has reached 25%.

No – we lease the hardware to you and maintain the warranty. We will replace any damaged or defective pieces of hardware to ensure your precious samples remain protected, 24/7. For labs that prefer to purchase the equipment for capital expense purchases, we have an option to provide that, while also maintaining the warranty. 

We have a scale for every size of cryotank that your lab utilizes – in general, the CryoScout® scale monitors cryotanks that hold <50L of liquid nitrogen, and the CryoGuardian™ scale monitors tanks that hold >50L of liquid nitrogen. Additionally, the CryoGuardian™ is customizable so that we can add the smallest footprint possible to your lab. Yes! While the CryoScout® weighing platform does add height to the tanks, we kept in mind that standard counter height is 36”. Our system adds about 5.5”, bringing the height of the tank to ~32” and less than an inch to the diameter, allowing for plenty of space.

Overview

We provide a subscription-based monitoring service that includes leased hardware and access to our proprietary software platform. Customers enter into an annual agreement for both hardware leasing and software access.

Shipping and Delivery

Leased hardware is shipped directly to the customer following the execution of a service agreement. Shipping timelines and tracking information will be provided upon order fulfillment.

Cancellations and Refunds

Customers may cancel their subscription at any time; however, cancellations made prior to the end of the contract term are not eligible for refunds. Upon cancellation, customers may return the leased hardware at their own expense. Returned hardware must be in good condition, subject to inspection.
